For The Whole Family
Family therapy for the people who share a home
Families rarely come apart over one dramatic event. More often it is a slow build of missed signals, old roles nobody chose, and conversations that never quite finish. Family therapy brings everyone to the same table to work on it out loud, at a pace that does not boil over.

Reasons families reach out
Families come in for all kinds of reasons. A few of the most common:
- Constant conflict: We work with a home that feels tense and arguments that flare over small things.
- A big transition: We make room for divorce, a move, a new baby, or a newly blended family.
- One member struggling: We look at how the whole family orbits around a person having a hard time.
- Parents and teens who have stopped talking: We help rebuild a conversation that has gone quiet.
A family is a set of habits as much as a set of people, and habits can be reworked.
Everyone in the room has a point
It is easy for a family to split into the person with the problem and everyone else. I do not see it that way: when one member is struggling, it is often the whole system asking for a change, and each person holds part of the picture and part of what helps. Teens in particular speak more freely once they see they are not the only item on the agenda. I hold space for each person without taking sides, a teen who has gone quiet, a parent who feels ignored, a sibling stuck in the middle, each one responding to something real.
How family sessions actually work
We slow things down enough that people can hear one another instead of bracing for the next round, and keep the room steady enough for honesty. No one gets ambushed or has to perform. Part of the work is naming the roles everyone has quietly settled into, the peacemaker, the quiet one, the one who acts out, and asking whether they still fit.
Family therapy is counseling for how you relate as a group, not a diagnosis of any single person. If someone needs a formal evaluation or medication, that belongs with a medical provider, and I can help you find the right one.
