Anxiety Support
Steady support for an anxious mind
Anxiety has a way of narrowing the world down to the next worry, the next what if. Together we slow that down and work toward a steadier relationship with the thoughts and sensations that tend to take over.

How anxiety tends to show up
Anxiety is rarely just one thing. For some people it lives mostly in the body, as a tight chest, a restless stomach, or sleep that never quite arrives. For others it is a mind that races ahead, rehearsing conversations and scanning for problems long before they exist. Often it is both, feeding a loop that is exhausting to carry through an ordinary day.
You do not need a dramatic reason to reach out. Many people come in simply because the background hum of worry has grown loud enough to crowd out the things they care about.
Signs it might be time to reach out
Anxiety can be quiet and easy to explain away. A few themes often bring people in:
- Racing thoughts: A mind that keeps circling the same worries without ever landing anywhere.
- Physical tension: Restlessness, a pounding heart, or shallow breathing that arrives without warning.
- Avoidance: Putting off calls, places, or decisions because the anticipation feels like too much.
- Sleep that suffers: Nights spent replaying the day or bracing for tomorrow.
You do not have to silence every worry to feel steadier around it.
How we work with it
We start by understanding your particular version of anxiety rather than a textbook one. I draw on solution-focused counseling alongside CBT and ACT skills, so we can calm the immediate storm and look at the patterns underneath it: practicing ways to settle your body, gently questioning the thoughts that fuel the spiral, or making room for uncertainty so it holds less power over your choices. We go at a pace that feels workable, and you stay in charge of the direction.
This is talk therapy and skills work, not a medical assessment. Diagnosis and medication decisions rest with your physician or prescriber.
