## Later chapters are still chapters

Sarasota skews older than much of the state, and a good share of the people who get in touch are somewhere in a later-life change rather than a crisis. Retirement arrives and takes the shape of the week with it. A diagnosis, yours or a partner's, rearranges the plan. Friends start dying, and grief becomes something you carry more than once. Adult children live somewhere else, and you are careful about how much you tell them.

None of that is decline and none of it needs to be dressed up. It is worth having somewhere to put it that is not your family. -   **Retirement:** Structure, purpose and identity after the work that defined them stops. 
-   **Caregiving:** Looking after a partner or a parent while nobody is looking after you. 
-   **Seasonal residents:** Sessions can only be held while you are physically in Florida, so we plan around the months you are here. 
-   **No driving needed:** Video means no parking, no waiting room, and no dependence on a lift. 

It helps to have somewhere to put it that is not your family.

## How the work is done

I am Jason Versace, MA, LMHC, NCC, licensed in Florida under MH21235, practicing as Psi Wellness, Inc. Sessions are solution focused and blended with CBT, ACT and DBT. That means plain conversation with something to work on: what you want to be different, and the thoughts and habits sitting closest to it. Short measures such as the PHQ-9, GAD-7 and MDQ give us clear checkpoints along the way.
