# The payment questions, answered plainly

Money should never be the reason you avoid asking for support. Here is an honest overview of how payment works at Psi Wellness, along with an open invitation to talk through the specifics with me directly.

## Talking through payment

Everyone's insurance situation is a little different, and the details change over time, so the most reliable thing I can offer is a real conversation. During your free consultation we can look at how you would like to handle payment and what makes sense for you. I would rather you have clear information than a vague worry, so please ask as many questions as you need.

If you have coverage and want to use it, we can talk about how that might work for counseling with me, including whether an out-of-network route fits your plan. Nothing here is a commitment, and there is no pressure to decide on the spot.

## A few things worth knowing

-   **Out of network:** Many plans include out-of-network benefits that can apply to therapy, so it is worth checking yours. 
-   **Superbills:** On request I can provide a superbill, a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement. 
-   **Sliding scale:** I set aside some flexibility on fees where there is genuine need. Ask me and we can talk it through. 
-   **Current details:** Coverage and policies shift, so please contact the practice for the most up to date specifics.

## What to do next

If you are not sure where you stand, that is completely normal, and you do not need to have it figured out before reaching out. Contact the practice and we can go over your current options together, whether that is private pay, out-of-network benefits, or a superbill. You can also see my session fees on the rates page and reach me any time through the contact page. The aim is simply to make the practical side clear enough that you can put your attention on the work itself. Whatever your situation, the door is open and the first conversation costs nothing.
